Both cabins
Check-in after 4:00 PM, checkout by 10:00 AM. Self check-in with a door code.
No smoking or vaping inside. No parties or events.
Take trash and food with you at checkout, or leave $5 a bag on the counter for the housekeeper.
Dogs are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee. Tell Lisa the breed and size when you book, and crate dogs when you go out.
Pet owners are responsible for any damage. Please keep pets off the furniture.
The cabins sit on a mountainside. Walk the driveway, not the uneven slope around the cabin.
Bella Vista
Maximum 4 guests, children included. $200 a night for each person over 4.
Smoking or vaping fee: $500.
Pet fee: $100 per stay (direct booking house rules).
Bella Vita
Maximum 6 guests, children included. $200 a night for each person over 6.
Smoking or vaping fee: $800.
Pet fee: $125 per stay (direct booking house rules). No cats, because of owner allergies.
At checkout, wash and put away dishes, turn off lights and lock the doors. No need to strip the beds.
The garage is not available to guests.

Fees, deposit and refunds
Cleaning fee
$200 at Bella Vista, which includes a ready hot tub and firewood. $140 at Bella Vita.
Booking service fee
A small fee on direct bookings, shown in the calendar before you pay.
Taxes
Stays in Maggie Valley carry 11% in taxes on the nightly rate and cleaning fee: 4% Haywood County lodging tax, 4.75% North Carolina sales tax and 2.25% Haywood County sales tax.
Security deposit
A $500 refundable security deposit is held on your card 2 days before check-in and released 2 days after checkout. It is a hold, not a charge.
Cancellation
Cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, unless check-in is less than 7 days away. Cancel 30 days or more before check-in for a full refund.

Coming in winter
The road is paved to both cabins, and the last stretch climbs. Guests who came in a cold snap found it steep, so check the forecast and bring a vehicle that handles snow. Newfound Gap Road and the Parkway close in ice and snow; I-40 is the way around.
